Once we land at Paro airport, same day we drive to Thimpu, The capital city of Bhutan. One and half hour drive reach Thimpu from Paro valley. Tashicho Dzong is the Buddhist monastery and castle on the northern edge of Thimpu. It is the house of Dharma Raja, the head of Bhutan’s civil government, and house of head Lama of the country. Traditionally build Tashi Cho Dzong has sites to explore its traditional Buddhist painting, temples inside and terraces. Zangdoperli Temple and local craft market. Great Buddha Dordenma is a statue of Shakyamuni Buddha in the hill of Thimpu. Big statue houses over one hundred thousand small Buddha statues, each of them are like the great Buddha Dordenma. The largest Buddha Rupas in the world, at 169 feet (52 m) and contains 100,000 8-inch-tall and 25,000 12-inch-tall gilded bronze Buddha statue. It was built to celebrate the 60th anniversary of fourth king Jigme of Bhutan. Another visit to late king’s memorial Chortern, national library, if time permits handmade paper factory, nunnery at Zilukha.

Day 3 of the tour drive early morning from Thimpu to Paro and hike to Tiger Nest (Taktsang Monastery). It is easy hiking through forest and land or prayer flags.
