Nepali currency called rupees.Nepal has modern banking and exchange facilities. All the hotels, guest houses accept credit card for any payment. For your payment to Travel and Trekking agencies you can do by credit card, Bank transfer or cash from any countries. PayPal facilities are not has developed in Nepal. Major touristic cities and hotel counters have cash exchange facility. Every bank has also facility of exchanging any countries cash. It is suggest exchanging your cash in Bank to get better rate. Bhutan currency called Ngultrum. Bhutan is a cash economy! Visa and MasterCard are not accepted at smaller shops, but bigger shops and some hotels accept MasterCard.
