Equipment of personal packing list for Everest Base Camp Trekking is less than you are thinking. You do not need any camping gears neither climbing equipment. Everest Base Camp Trekking is classical trekking staying in local tea houses and it is non-technical. Although your packing list depends on which time of the year your are trekking. The main season of trekking in Everest region is from March to May and September to November. Although it is a charm to trek in the season of winter from December to February. Trekking in the Everest region is the first choice among other Nepali Trekking regions.
General packing list of your equipment
Bags
trekking bag for you is one small and comfortable back caring bag, where you can easily put your valuable goods, one extra pair cloth, water bottle, camera, and any dry foods you love to take during the day. Another big bag goes to your porter. This bag gets you back every day in the evening in guest houses and let porter carry once you start trekking.
Shoes and Shocks
You need comfortable warm shoes for trekking. It is also better to have waterproofed but not compulsory. Another spare shoe or sandal is needed to wear while staying at guest house. 3 pairs of warm socks are enough for an entire trip. You can wash it in the middle of your trekking.

Above trekking equipment can find in Kathmandu Thamel. Once you land at Kathmandu, you can check your goods and plan to buy it. There are genuine trekking shops near your hotel in the Thamel area.
Porter to carry your goods
You will get 1 porter for 2 pax trekkers from Nepal Highland treks. Porter normally carries 25 kilograms in total. Since you are flying with tiny aircraft to Lukla for your Everest Base Trekking, there are only allowed of 10 kg big bags and another 5 kg your handbag. The above equipments are normally needful during 12 days Everest Base Camp Trekking Itinerary. Documents and papers
You do not need to bring any documents for Everest Base Camp Trekking. The guide from Nepal Highland Treks will have your permit and TIMS card along with your passport photocopy. It is better to deposit your original passport at your hotel locker to make it safer. At the end of the trekking, you can ask a guide to handover your trekking permit to keep it as a souvenir. Our guide normally does it on every trip.
