Dhaulagiri Trekking is one of the remote and challenging treks in Nepal. It is Trekking around world’s seventh highest mountain, crossing two high Himalayan passes and hidden valley. Trekking starts from Beni, follows the Myagdi Khola River passing through beautiful Gurung villages with terraced fields framed by views of the Dhaulagiri massif. After walking up the narrow Chonbarden gorge towards Dhaulagiri Base Camp we then cross French Pass into Hidden Valley. After the second pass Dhampus Pass we start the long descent to Jomsom and then at the end of the trek we fly out to Pokhara.
Dhaulagiri Circuit Trekking needs previous adventurous experience. Geographically Dhaulagiri area is land of dramatic contrast so that unexpected deal might arrive during trek during challenging icy track and cross over 5000 miter high passes. Entire trek is with camping arrangement. All foods, tents and necessary equipment are carries by porters from Kathmandu. Every day walking is an average of 6 to 7 hours, although day of high pass is about 8 to 9 hours walking to reach fixed camping spots.
