We organised our Everest Base Camp RidingIt was our respect to Hemanta and his team to manage every things on time even though got lots of trouble getting permits due to last hours rules change from Tibet government. We mixed nationalities peoples were able to get every things on hand to ride our bikes till Everest Base camp Tibet. We were riding our own bikes riding further to Tibet and Everest Base Camp. First day route is bit challenging. Rough and narrow road in Nepal side makes us almost impossible to ride further. But enjoyment ws there with scenic landscape, local villages and peoples. From the second day when we cross the immigration and reach at Tibet part, riding bikes were easier in wide highway. Tibet guide and our backup van driver were so helpful and funny. We spend 7 night all together by sharing information about Tibet and peoples. Guide Nima was so informatics. We have heard Guide there will be only for government formalities not to expect much info about Tibet from them, but we were lucky to get informatics, helpful and smiley guide. Our driver was also technical one who help us a lot when we get to maintain our bikes on the way.
Accommodation we choose before as budget guest houses were uncomfortable when we reach there so that we upgrade it to the best available in the town. We paid more but company refund us budget hotels cost we paid before. It is suggest to choose best available guest houses on the way so that you can take hot shower sometime you feel. Near the base camp no choices, only simple rooms sharing toilet outside without and bathing facilities. We were all gotten briefing about the tour by company owner Hemanta not to expect more facilities in Tibet but we were so much happy to get more than expected. Thanks again Nepal Highland Treks, owner of the company Hemanta and his team. We look forward to get another chance to plan trip in Nepal or again to Tibet including Lhasa or may be toward Kailash too.
