Halesi Mahadev is in Khotang district of eastern Nepal. It is 325 kilometers from Kathmandu. Drive from Kathmandu via Dhulikhel, Nepalthok, Khurkot takes 9 to 10 hours one way. If you start early in the morning, reach in the late evening. Explore Halesi caves, monasteries, and overnight at local hotels. There are 2 nice hotels and several others are local guest houses. The next day morning visits Halesi again and drives back to Kathmandu. We provide you a comfortable 4wheel jeep with a professional driver since some section of road is rough. The best season for this trip is from Jan to June and September to December months.
