Gosaikunda known as Frozen Lake is in Langtang National park is one of the best trekking destination in Langtang region. Gosaikunda Lake is sacred place for Hindu and Buddhist. Lake is believed to have been created by Lord Shiva when he forcedly hit his Trisul in to a mountain to take out water to make his burning throat after swallowing poison which threatened to destroy whole world. It is strong believed that once you take bath in lake, all your pain, you trouble and sins washed out. More trekkers visit here because of its beauty. The trek passes through varied landscape, high passes with magnificent Himalayas view, dense forest and beautiful settlements of Tamang and Sherpa peoples whose religions, dresses, culture and language are similar to Tibetan.
Gosaikunda Trekking start from Kathmandu after driving 8 hours. Trekking starts next day from Dhunche. Climb slowly through alpine and Rhododendron forest.
