You do not need to be at high Everest Base Camp (5,360m) to view Mount Everest and hundreds of snow-capped peaks. Be just to the Everest viewpoint from where get a fabulous view of the world’s highest peakMount Everest along with neighboring peaks. A short and easy trek, the Everest panorama trek is also an opportunity to explore ethnic Sherpa peoples, their cultures, and their lifestyles. Adventure flight to Lukla, stay at the charming local city Namche and get exploration the large Sherpa village Khumjung.      

Our 9-day trekking itinerary includes on full-day exploration staying at Everest viewpoint. Trek starts with a 35-minute flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. On the same day reaches Phakding through the lowland region and typical villages of the Everest region. Reach Namche bazaar, another night stay at charming Sherpa city at an altitude of 3,440 meters. We then hike to our final destination, Everest viewpoint of 3,880 meters. A whole day of exploration around the local Sherpa village, Khumjung and Kongde. Oldest monasteries, Hillary School and stay with magnificent views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Amadablam, Thamsherkhu, and other surrounding peaks. Trekking down till Lukla follows the same way and flies back again to Kathmandu.

Mount Everest View Trekking is suitable for those who only have a short time and want to see the highest peaks. Or those who have fitness issues and cannot get all the way to the altitude of Everest Base Camp and Kalapathar. Our 9-day trekking itinerary is general for normal hikers. It can be customized as per timeframe and interest. You also can make this trip in a luxury way.   • Day 01:Arrival at Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel. 1300m Overnight at Hotel
  • Day 02:Day in Kathmandu. Sightseeing and trip preparation. Overnight at Hotel
  • Day 03:Fly to Lukla (2,860m) and trek to Phakding (2,652m) 3/4 hours. Overnight at tea house
  • Day 04:Trek Phakding to Namche Bazar (3,440m) 6/7 Hours. Overnight at tea house
  • Day 05:Hike to Everest view point (3,880m) and exploration around. overnight in tea house of Khumjung
  • Day 06:Trek back to Phakding. Overnight at tea house
  • Day 07:Trek back to Lukla. Overnight at tea house
  • Day 08:Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel

    Representative from Nepal Highland Treks pick up you from International airport and transfer to Hotel. If we get time, we will discuss about your trip and check your trekking gears. Overnight at Hotel 

  • Day 02:Day in Kathmandu. Sightseeing and trip preparation. Overnight at Hotel

    After your breakfast in Hotel, our tour guide will lead you to sightseeing at UNESCO heritage sites of Kathmandu valley. Bhaktapur Durbar Squire (Old King palace with arts and architecture), Bauddhanath Stupa (Biggest Buddhist Stupa) and Pashupatinath temple (A biggest Hindu temple). Come back to hotel, introduce with your guide and final preparation of your trekking. 

  • Day 03:Fly to Lukla (2,860m) and trek to Phakding (2,652m) 3/4 hours. Overnight at tea house

    Early morning flight from Kathmandu (1400m) to Lukla (2840m). It is about 35 minute’s scenic flight. Begin trekking towards Phakding (2610m) through charming Sherpa villages, the pine tree forests and the garrulous Dudh Koshi River. Reach at Phakding and check in tea house. 

  • Day 04:Trek Phakding to Namche Bazar (3,440m) 6/7 Hours. Overnight at tea house

    After your breakfast start trekking to Namche Bazar (Biggest town in Everest region). We pass big suspension bring at the beginning. Than our trail become slightly up hills. Route is passing through alpine forest along with Dudhkoshi River. We also pass Benkar village, Monjo village and jorsalle on the way. After having our lunch, we start tough up hills walking and reach Namche. 

  • Day 05:Hike to Everest view point (3,880m) and exploration around. overnight in tea house of Khumjung

    After your breakfast, start hiking to Everest view point. We can make round it by starting it first to Everest Base Camp trail. Than turn to Khunjung and Kongde village and reach up to Everest view hotel. Whole day easy hiking around local villages, monasteries. Pleasant Himalayas view including Mount Everest are viewing through the days. We spend a night at big Khumjung village    

  • Day 06:Trek back to Phakding. Overnight at tea house

    Morning view of surrounding mountains are pleasant from Khumjung village. capture best view of mountains with sunrise. We trek down after our breakfast via Syangboche Airport then reach to Namche. Our trekking continue with same way back till Phakding. we also can stop our night at other village on the way. You will get Lukla on time tomorrow. 

  • Day 07:Trek back to Lukla. Overnight at tea house

    Short trek back to Lukla from Phakding or other villages near by. You will get enough time to get rest and relax. Scenic view of hills and mountains are around Lukla.  

  • Day 08:Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel

    Fly early in the morning from Lukla to Kathmandu. You can view Scenic Mountain and green hills from tiny flight. Drive from Kathmandu domestic airport and check in hotel. Get free time for shopping an walking around yourself. Nepal Highland Treks invite you to have together dinner in typical Nepali cultural restaurant. Share your trekking experience. 

  • Day 09:Departure

    It is normally to be at International airport 3 hours before your flight time. It only takes 20 minutes drive to reach Airport from Thamel. We manage transportation for your final departure

Useful Information

Everest View Trekking is short trekking in Nepal and joining with a group is not really required. One single trekker also can plan this trek in any time. Any group size with any kind of services can be arranged any time of the year.

For the optional itinerary, you can choose other trips to get closer of Mount Everest. Everest Base Camp trekking is another option which is 15 to 16 days trip plan including preparation, acclimatization, sightseeing and arrival departure days. Short days trek to Everest Base camp, reach by trekking and fly back with helicopter.

A day tours to Everest View is also a best option who are looking for very short trip but want to be at close from Mount Everest. Everest Helicopter tour and Mountain flighttours are the optional trips.
