    6 days Muktinath Yatra Package begins from Kathmandu. The first day makes darshan of Pashupatinath which is special Aarati tour. Yatra then begins driving to Pokhara the next day. Reach at Mata Manakamana temple by cable car on the way driving Kathmandu to Pokhara. Pokhara to Jomsom sector is a flight with tiny aircraft. Jomsom airport is a small airport in the starting town of Upper Mustang. Take local jeep, it is reserve for our group only to Muktianth temple en route Kagbeni and back to Jomsom for overnight on the same day. A guide from Nepal Highland Treks manages properly your entire tour. Our Muktinath Tour package is especially targeting Indian pilgrimage although any foreigners can join this tour.

    Muktinth Temple Story: Muktinath temple lies at Annapurna Himalayan range at the altitude of 3,800 miters. Muktinath is one of the eight most sacred shrines in Hindu religion. The temple is admired by many saints of Hindu tradition. The scripts describe the importance of this temple area available in Vishnu Puran. It is also one of the 51 Shakti Peetha. It is ancient temple of God Bishnu for Hindu and Chumig Gyatsa. Buddhist believes that founder of Tibetan Buddhism Guru Rinpoche known as Padmasambhava had meditate here on his way to Tibet. Outer courtyard of Muktinath Temple has 108 bull faces taps running poured water. Devotees take sacred bath here in all 108 taps and deep at 2 pounds at front of temple. A Buddhist monk presents worship in the temple.

    Best time to Visit Muktinath: The best time for Muktinath Tour is from March to May although January and February months are still suitable. Spring season month of September to December also get suitable weather to visit Muktinath Temple. During the rainy season of June July, more chance to get flight cancellation of Jomsom. Weather in December and January is cold can reach up to minus at night in this region. High chance to get snowfalls between these months but the days are clear and sunny.

      After your breakfast in Kathmandu, start driving toward Pokhara. Reah at Mata Manakamana temple on the route by cable car. Take your lunch and continue drive to Pokhara. Pokhara is natural city of Nepal surrounded by Himalayas, Beautiful lakes and green hills. Dinner and overnight 

    • Day 03:Fly to Jomsom and drive to Muktinath temple. Drive back to Jomsom after ritual visit of muktinath temple and around. Overnight

      Early in the morning drive to Pohara airport for your flight to Jomsom airport. it is only 15 minutes flight at early in the morning. Take local jeep drive from Jomsom to Muktinath. It is 3 hours driving one way till the temple. Walking about 20 minutes from Jeep station to Temple. There is option to take local horse or local motorbike to and from Jeep station. Drive back again to Jomosm after special ritual at  Muktinath temple. Lunch en-route, Dinner at Jomsom and Overnight.   

    • Day 04:Fly back to Pokhara from jomsom. Sightseeing and Overnight at Hotel

      Early in the morning, fly back to Pokhara from Jomsom. check in hotel and take breakfast. Start sightseeing with our guide in Pokhara. Boating at Fewa Lake, Visit Talbarahi temple, Davi falls, Gupteswor Mahadev and Bindabasini temple. Come back to hotel, Dinner and Overnight. 

    • Day 05:Fly back to Kathmandu. Sightseeing and Overnight at hotel

      After your breakfast in Pokhara hotel, fly back to Kathmandu and check in Hotel. Afternoon sightseeing at Jalanarayam Temple, Gujeswori Temple, Pashupatinath Temple. come back to hotel. Dinner and Overnight

    Useful Information

    Best time for Muktinath tour  

    The best time for Muktinath tour is month of March, April, May, October and november. Those months are less cold and sunny days. Mountain ranges are more clear to enjoy the Himalayan views and the local valley. These months of the year, is crowded of travellers in this region. Winter months December Jan and Feb are more cold but still can visit the region. Winter problem is only cold temperature but can expect clear Himalayan views and the area. After mid June till September mid, is the moonson season. Every day rain is expected but still can visit the region. During the winter and rainy months, flight of Pokhara Jomsom may not in the operation so that only posibility will be road trip. Road trip to Muktinath in the winter month is not a problem but in the mid of raining season July August may suffer from landslide on the way. In this case there can be walking places to exchange the vehichle in several places. 

    Jomsom flight

    Flight to Jomsom starts early in the morning every day and is one of the remote area flights and weather condition is subject to fly. If weather turn bad or with any other technical issues which are not in our hand, flight might get cancel for the day. In that case we suggest and arrange travelling by Jeep drive till Muktinath and back to Pokhara by next day. Driving the both way does not effect in the total days of plan. Another option is to wait for next day to fly again.   

    Muktinath tour cost

    Muktinath tour cost in INR is for Indian passport holder. Tour cost in USD is for other than Indian passport holder (foreigners/ NRI) Different cost applies for Nepali national. Mentioned cost is based on group joining or having your own group minimum 5 peoples. Cost for the foregners, tour cost for Indian and Nepali is different because of the flight ticket fair and entrance fees. 

    Booking procedure and document requirement

    We need copy of any ID card by email. And advance amount to reconfirm the tour. You can arrive at Nepal either with voter ID or with your passport, if you travel from India by flight. Travelling by road only require any valid ID card. Indian national do not need any visa for Nepal. Other than Indian are require to travel with valid passport and stamp Nepali visa on arrival. 

    Payment method and cancellation policy

    Advance amount for trip booking is INR 10,000 per person or USD 150. You can pay by your credit card, bank transfer or can also provide bank account number of India if you are Indian. Rest of the payment is at the day of your arrival. Rest of the payment can pay by cash, bank transfer or by credit card. Paying by credit card charges more 4 %. Cancellation of the tour after confirmed, charges you INR 5,000 per person or USD 80.

    Packing list for Muktinath Tour

    You do not need many things to pack for this tour. Temperature in entire tour depend which month you are travelling. The best season for Muktinath tour is from March to May and September to December. All other months are hot month about 12 degree minimum and maximum 32 degree accepts December. Although Muktinath area is windy and bit cold. You need to pack some light warm cloth for day in Muktinath area and rest of other are light clothes for hot temperature.

      Storage facilities are available in hotel of Pokhara. You can store your big bag with some of the stuffs and bring only small hand bag to Muktinath area. it is only for a night. 

    Walking distance to reach Muktinath temple 

    Once you land at Jomsom airport, it is about 2 hours driving journey to Muktinath temple. After the jeep station, you have to walk aboout 30 minutes. There are about 300 stone steeps to walk. Since it is in the altitude of 3800 meters, slow walking is suggested. Persons who are not able to walk this distance, have option to take local motorbike ride, Doli or Horse riding both the way for up and down. Crossing this walkable route is more intresting with local market, peoples and their activities.

    You can plan to travel Muktinath by road. We can cover driving tour in same days of the plan. Add Mountain flight tour in Kathmandu to see Mount Everest and other Himalayan ranges. It is one morning tour. Also can plan to Visit Lumbini, the Birth place of Buddha. Another option is to visit Janakpuri, place of Janaki and Ram.
